The Most fun Happens in Downtown Eureka Springs

Two new "big rides” are to be opening in Downtown Eureka Springs in 2009.

Beginning July Fourth weekend, Underground Eureka will be re-opened for the first time since the turn of the previous century and will be the featured Eureka Springs Downtown Network (ESDN) attraction offering an interactive 45-minute history tour beginning from our historic civic auditorium, THE Aud.

The second attraction, in partnership with the Basin Park Hotel includes master magician Bart Rockett returning to Downtown Eureka Springs to produce, Bart Rockett Up Close and Personal, a limited engagement including 33 shows every Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the Barefoot Ballroom will begin June 1st at 3pm.

These two new ‘big rides' are supported by an aggressive ESDN work plan that includes Shop Local - Shop Late open houses with extended shopping hours until 7 PM every Thursday for locals and visitors alike, Guided Walking Tours or Self-Guided I-pod tours, Interactive GPS sites and Downtown Business Maps for shoppers, Treasure Hunters and History Buffs (kids and adults), Daily Prizes, and a Festive Downtown Afternoon Program provided by the Great Passion Play, Ozark Mountain Hoe Down, Pine Mountain Theater and to include costumed characters and daily entertainment enjoyed in the Basin Spring Park from 2-4PM.

Visitors can also register for the prizes to be awarded daily and one GRAND Prize for the season. Visitors should ask at the front desk of their lodging facility or visit the Auditorium or any visitor center for an entry form.
