Ozark Mountain Southern Region Things To Do in November

70th Annual Ozark Folk Festival: 11/2-11/4 The longest running Folk Festival in the United States.An Evening with Lucinda Williams will be the headliner in The Auditorium on Friday, Nov. 3rd @ 7:30pm.  After party at the Basin Ballroom with the David Mayfield Parade at 10pm.  Free music in the park Fri/Sat from 1pm-6pm.

Barefoot Ball After Party: 11/3 10pm-Midnight with the David Mayfield Parade at the Basin Park Hotel.  Tickets $10 at the door.

Diversity Weekend: 11/3-11/5

Bam Bam Day at Turpentine Creek: 11/5 9:30am-3:30pm Join the refuge to celebrate Bam Bam (grizzly bear) and all their other bears with fun day of themed activities and educational programs for kids.

Bone Jour Gala at the Crescent: 11/7 5pm-9pm Fundraiser for the Good Shepherd Humane Society.  $25 at the door.

Eureka Springs Food & Wine Weekend: 11/9-11/12 Get ready to eat, drink, and enjoy! Our finest restaurants offer special dinner menus and wine flights.   For details and menus visit:

Crescent Food & Wine Night: 11/9  5pm-8pm $20 per person / $35 per couple.  The Crescent Hotel is particpating in Food & Wine Weekend by offering a welcome reception from 5pm-7pm with specialty wines and artisan cheeses.  Dinner will be offered from 5pm-8pm. Reservations Recommended 877-342-9766.

 Veterans Day Celebration: 11/10-11/13 Join us in celebrating our Veterans and current military personnel.

Nov. 10th  Marine Birthday & Party @ 4 State Event Center    6:00-10:00PM    FREE for all, family & friends included.

Nov. 11th   Veteran’s Day Parad.  Down Spring Street to The Pied Piper   Parade rolls @ 10:00AM.  Celebration continues after parade @ Pied Piper.

Nov. 12th   Flag Run & Relay at the Chamber of Commerce      1:00PM start.

Nov. 13th   Hamburger Cook-off.  11:00AM-1:30PM   Try some of the best hamburgers in Eureka Springs for $5 donation.  Cast your ballot for your favorite.

Five & Dime Drama: 11/11 & 11/12  Fall Performance Series downtown at Main Stage. World premiers of 6 short plays by regional playwrights featuring a cast of 20.  Each distinctively different play offers thought-provoking entertainment, exploring contemporary themes with insight, humor and artistry.  These performances are recommended for mature audiences. November 11th at 8pm and November 12th at 2pm.

Talent on Parade: 11/17-11/18 Dance Spectacular for some of the most talented girls of all ages in our region.  Come and be inspired by these young ladies during their competitions, convention and pageant.  Located at the City Auditorium.

Don Gammie Turkey Trot: 11/23 8:30am-11am The 8th annual Don Gammie Turkey Trot is a 5k trail run and a 1 mile fun run/walk that is held in Lake Leatherwood City Park on Thanksgiving morning. All of the funds raised by this event go to the Grassy Knob Volunteer Fire Department!

The Great Ozarkan Beard Off (GOBO) 11/24-11/26 This is a fundraiser for the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation. Competitions will be held at incredible locations in Historic Downtown Eureka Springs.  STOP SHAVING NOVEMBER 1st!  Track your progress… have your photo taken at Chelsea’s on November 1st and show that you are the fastest beard grower in the US (or in town anyway)
