May is The 31st Annual May Festival of the Arts in Eureka Springs and one of the scheduled events in this month long celebration is the Northwest Arkansas Juggling Festival. The Northwest Arkansas Juggling Festival brings local communities together with jugglers from all over the country for a fun filled weekend of juggling related madness. The festival provides opportunities to enjoy creative play through games, workshops, social circus, demonstrations and shows. All skill levels and prop types are welcome. The general public is invited to come watch the activities in the gym located in the Eureka Springs Community Center and learn how to juggle for free. The 28th Annual White Street Studio Walk will take place Friday, May 18, from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m., Eureka Spring. Historic White Street is the working address of several local artists who will welcome the public into homes and studios to view their latest works. They will be joined by more than forty guest artists and musicians from the Eureka Springs area, who will show weaving, watercolors, jewelry, oils, pottery, stained glass, live music performances and much more. Best of all it’s free to the public!

Nationally known Muralist, artist, carver, and musician Doug Myerscough will design, create and produce a permanent mural and total carving on the Harmon Park Building at the top the Dog Park. Time-lapse video will capture the work in progress; an interactive mural event designed for families and kids will take place on location (getting tips from Doug) and a special reveal event on 5/19. This project signals the beginning of the Harmon Park Art Trail.

Everyone loves a parade and what better way to kick-off the month long celebration of the arts in Eureka Springs? This colorful, quirky and sometimes surprising, ArtRageous Parade is the one of a kind starter of the May Festival of the Arts. Join the lively stream of floats, art cars, walkers, dancers, musicians, jugglers, drummers and so much more. Enjoy all the creativity and fun Downtown Eureka Springs has to offer! The parade starts at 2pm Saturday May 5th.

Gather up your drum or anything else that makes noise and come join the drum circle with Angelo and his talented troupe of drummers and dancers. This delightful family friendly event that occurs on Saturday May 5th from 6pm-9m  is sure to put a smile on your face and spring in your step! This event is recurring every first Saturday of the month until October. Come join the fun in Downtown Eureka Springs!

On May 16th, 17th & 18th nationally-known chalk street artist Craig Thomas will lead the colorful and creative chalk art fest on Center Street in Downtown Eureka Springs and be conducting workshops. Craig will be joined by local and regional artists with dramatic final reveals and event planned for 5/20. Don’t miss out on this free and family friendly event!

A fresh flower market will be set up on the Bridge of Love (across from The Basin Park Hotel) on Mother’s Day Weekend & will have flowers available to tie on to the Bridge of Love with a donation to Eureka Springs School of the Arts, which will help raise money for their scholarship fund. Both Saturday & Sunday 11am -4pm. If you love women…mothers, grandmothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, cousins, and friends…bring fresh flowers (only) to fasten to the Bridge of Love!
