(EUREKA SPRINGS, AR) — The Eureka Springs Parks Department welcomes residents and visitors on Saturday, April 30, to enjoy “Lake Leatherwood Day (LLD): A Celebration of the Great Outdoors and the Ozark Mountain Region”. Activities scheduled for the celebration day include:
- Mountain Biking – a free, guided mountain bike tour around the lake begins at 11:00 a.m. The tour is BYOB, Bring Your Own Bike.
- Hiking – a free, guided hike around the park and the lake begins at noon. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable footwear.
- Water Sports – free boat rentals are being offered from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for those wanting to glide across the gem of Lake Leatherwood, the city park’s 85-acre, spring-fed lake. The entire park is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Boats will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis.
