A true vacation calls for at least one fine dining experience and the Crystal Dining Room delivers just that by recreating American classics in the beautifully historic Crescent hotel.
Walking into the Dining Room you are struck by the 14-foot-tall ceilings create a space of grandeur that first ushered in a gala on May 20, 1886. Crystal chandeliers add to the magic as the piano music floats across the room. Large windows flank the room and provide beautiful views of the garden outside.
The bar is fully stocked and the wine cellar full of award-winning drinks that will nicely complement any of the Dining Room’s finely crafted entrees.

Between the friendly wait staff, the personal attention from the chef and the best bacon bound pork chops and smoked gouda mashed potatoes, you will leave on cloud nine asking yourself how you lived before this food experience.
A quick chat with Executive Chef, Thomas Shaffer revealed that before adding any new dish to the menu, a tasting is held and any changes needed are made. Recently they changed up the seasoning on the Prime KC Strip to a stone ground mustard compound butter.
This evolving menu is seasonal, which means the dishes are made with the freshest ingredients. There are even farm fresh options on the menu which are made from locally sourced ingredients. “Chef D Cuisine” David Gilderson and Chef Shaffer work to develop their dishes daily.
Open Monday-Friday from 5-8 the Crystal Dining Room is ready to dazzle you with fine dining in historic elegance.
You don’t have to walk far to catch a ghost tour after dinner. Or maybe you want to grab a few drinks from atop the Crescent in the Sky Bar open daily until 11 PM.
