Valentines Weekend in Eureka Springs

Valentine’s Weekend: Love… Eureka Springs’ Style

When Valentine’s Day is in the middle of the week, the question to celebrate before or after is almost always called into question.  In Eureka Springs, a center of romance in the Ozark Mountain Southern Region, celebrations will be focused on the weekend after February 14 with the Official Valentine’s Weekend being held February 16th and 17th.  In 2018, that means the Ozark Mountain’s Chocolate Festival and the award winning Americana Roots band, Asleep at the Wheel.

Held Saturday, February 17, the Annual Eureka Springs Chamber Chocolate Lovers Festival swings open its doors, this year at the new Eureka Springs Community Center (44 Kings Highway).  Over 10,000 pieces of handmade chocolate along with vendors to showcase and promote their products will feature chocolate samples from organic and household brands to select boutique labels.   An added slant to this year’s event is a special focus on brides-to-be since several vendors from “The Wedding Capital of The South” will have information available for those brides launching into the planning stage of their big event.

For the attendees two big give-a-ways have already been announced:

  • Everyone has a chance to a 2-night “Suite Deal” offered by the 1886 Crescent Hotel
  • For prospective brides, a chance to win a “Sweet Deal” that includes a free July wedding venue in the Barefoot Ballroom that includes a $500 food credit.
